Beaches
The best beaches in the world, one of the main reasons to visit La Romana and Bayahibe. Beaches of fine white sand, originating from coral and pollution-free.
La Romana beaches are developed in four distinct areas: the beaches of the hotel area adjacent to the Parque Nacional del Este natural reserve, the beaches surrounding the town of Bayahibe, the mainland beaches located on Parque Nacional del Este and Saona Island beaches. `
The natural environment surrounding the beaches of Dominicus is one of the most preserved in the Dominican Republic. Located in the buffer zone of Parque Nacional del Este; the purity of the waters bathing its white sands are excellent, whilst maintaing its transparency in check, in the absence of pollution and in-line with health regulations. Considered truly-privileged, this beach enjoys excellent sea conditions, a beautiful landscape and a biodiversity-rich surroundings. A small lake lies behind the public beach in Dominicus, visited by large flocks of native birds. Herons and coots are its principal inhabitants, sharing the space and freshwater with aquatic species of amphibians and freshwater fish.
A great way of getting acquainted with the locals is by visiting the public beach strip, located between Viva Wyndham Dominicus Palace and Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus resorts. You can access the beach through the resorts, or through public paths leading to its entrance. ![]()
